Three Leaves…

A moment gone,

and a life taken,

a breath swept away,

and a leaf shaken.

The Tree of Life is always changing,

with branches growing,

and colours fading.

The wind that blows from the Heavens came,

and blew the leaves of Life away,

and these three souls that once blossomed

struck down in the tide of day.

And now the Tree that grows in all,

has let three Leaves begin their fall.

Then  away to a cool Southern breeze,

and taken away from the ever changing Tree,

the leaves of souls are gone away,

to be anew in a different day.

This is not my finest poem, but I thought I would jot something down quickly in memory of a friend I heard was killed in an automobile accident today. Pray for their family.

A Little Something…

I enjoy dressing up pictures on our little cheap image setup, but it is fun, and thanks to my cousin, I can do a little more with fonts.

I adore the Jane Austen font, and I also like this picture I took of Emily Rose, so I combined the two together for a whimsical photo.

Then this one is of a rose, obviously, and I thought the phrase “May I?” had an old chivalrous tone to it.

And then this butterfly photo was too cute not to do SOMETHING with it.

A Thought of Hollywood

“What is Hollywood, but to assure us the bad guy always loses, the good guy triumphs after saving the damsel, who is never happy unless in distress, and that no matter how tangled characters may get, at the end of two hours, it was only a misunderstanding.” -by me

Happy Birthday Maggie!

Happy Birthday Maggie!

I am so blessed to have such a sweet friend, cousin, and sister as you. Since today is such a special day, I thought I’d surprise you with this post, and share a few thoughts.

Your talent for writing is always inspirational to me. You have the imagination to come up with what to say, what the characters will do, etc. I can’t wait until you finish one and get it published for they are so intriguing!

Here is a little ditty I wrote about our history (sing to the tune of the Farmer and the Dell).

The Three girls would play,
The Three girls would fight,
Oh I’m sure glad they changed,
And now they get along.

For those of you who did not know us long ago, we never got a long. But since then God has changed our hearts and are now all three best friends. God has changed our lives so much in the past few years, and I am forever thankful for His mercy and grace. It is a beautiful to think that we will get to spend eternity in the presence of our Savior together.

May God bless you in the coming year and continue to grow you in godly womanhood.

I love you!

Your Cousin,
Emily Rose
