…will have a home of her own in the end.
“To me, homesteading is the solution of all poverty’s problems, but I realize that temperament has much to do with success in any undertaking, and persons afraid of coyotes and work and loneliness had better let ranching alone. At the same time, any woman who can stand her own company, can see the beauty of the sunset, loves growing things, and is willing to put in as much time at careful labor as she does over the washtub, will certainly succeed; will have independence, plenty to eat all the time, and a home of her own in the end.”

“The solution of all poverty’s problems”
I think I pretty much agree with that one. If people were willing to put in even a half day’s honest labor, we’d see a lot of change. Especially if they were responsible for their own food source, they might even be a bit more caring for the environment. Perhaps?
Well, I’m busy here writing up descriptions for my art exhibit. Coming along faster than I thought they would.
…thinking of something to say…
Oh! I can’t wait till after the open house! Peaceful studying …writing…sewing. Mmmm.
Oh, and I just heard we can get tickets to Scotland for oh. so. cheap. Thinking that would be just too wild. Oh well.
Loving you bunches!

Oh,what a lovely and inspiring thought! I think it would be so neat to do a lot of homesteading, but our family loves to travel places in our motorhome. Animals and traveling don’t really mix!
Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Wow! That sounds so nice…. At times I think that a large, (r?)ambling farmhouse is my cup of tea, and at other times I think that I’d be content with living in a nice neighborhood. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what God has in store for me!
I was teasing about your sending me pears. But I would absolutely love it if you did!!!
I’ve been meaning to ask you for your address so I could send you a letter. I think that hand-written letters are so much more meaningful than emails, though they are quite a bit harder to keep up with.
Well dearie, I hope that you have a splendid day!
Love,
Meg
